Cynthia R. Eddy
Cynthia Reed Eddy has practiced law for 27 years. Ms. Eddy is listed in Best Lawyers in America,Top Lawyers in Pittsburgh, Top Lawyers 2009 (published in Corporate Counsel). She received her Juris Doctor degree from Washington & Lee University Law Center in 1982 and also earned her LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University School of Law.
Ms. Eddy is a former Assistant United States Attorney and federal district court law clerk. She concentrates in the defense of financial crimes and income tax evasion. Ms. Eddy has also designed and helped to implement corporate compliance programs.

Ms. Eddy’s private law practice has represented individuals, political officials, CEOs, as well as public and private corporations, including nonprofit health care agencies.

She has also frequently represented clients in appeals. Ms. Eddy also conducts internal corporate investigations, practices white collar criminal defense, and resolves tax controversies.
Through her diverse legal career she has developed a forte in synthesizing complex factual and legal issues resulting in effective dispute resolution.
Ms. Eddy is a frequent lecturer for various CLE programs. She has chaired the Allegheny County Federal Criminal Sub-Committee and is on the Third Circuit Advisory Committee.
